How long will he wait?

As he walked down to the dock, he, again, thought about the last time he saw her. He remembered how the sun shown down on her golden hair. The memory is as fresh in his mind today as it was the day she left 25 years ago. She told him that she'd be back someday when she could.In the meantime, he'd raise and watch over the boy. Just before sundown, everyday, it's the same! Each time, she hasn't returned.

it's 2019!

Well, It happened! I closed my eyes around 9:30 and 2018 said good bye so quietly I didn't hear it! I woke up at 4:00! And realized 2019 said I'm here so quietly, I didn't hear that when it arrived. Do you thank that's an omen for the kind of year it's going to be? Not on your life!

Believe You Can, Part II

I 've had this thing sticking in my thoughts and it just won't let go. So I'm gonna just give it a pair of wings and let it soar!!! It's the way many women are treated by the men in their lives. The men treat them as if they are somewhat less than men are. This is so sad for I think man was God's rough draft. While women are the finished product!

Believe You Can?

It has been said that anything you can conceive, you can achieve! ‍It has been said, we all have so much untapped potential! ‍It has been said, if we believe, we can....! ‍Then it's implied, I can't achieve if I don't think of it. ‍Maybe, I don't think of it because I can't? ‍If I have untapped potential, why can't I think of it? ‍Maybe, try as I might I can't because I have never experienced anything that show me it's possibilities.

A little child shall lead them.

Last week, I blogged about the death of Jessica Starr. The point of my blog was we don't take the time, to express kindness, gratitude, and appreciation. And if we took the time to do just one thing,The world just might become a better one.

It happened again! And we're sad.

We see someone who looks like she has everything to look forward to in life. Suddenly she opts out. She leaves behind a family who looked forward to her being around. And she's gone. We ask why? And no one answers. We'll never know. Yet we don't need to have that answered. We know all we really know! She opted out! The reason why won't bring her back. So do we do nothing, save moan in sorrow? Hardly!!!

Didn't you hear ME, "It's time to stop and get off!"

Most of us, just go along with our lives if we have reach a certain level of comfort. The things is, while in comfort, we don't realize the comfort level wears out. Suddenly we find that we are over-burdened and over-committed and over-so many, many things. We become so stressed that we want to shout, "stop the world! I want to get off for awhile!" However, we don't shout because we just remembered this other thing we just got to deal with.

sometimes you just know it's time

It may not happen often, but sometime you just know it's time to keep your mouth shut and just listen with all of your being. If you don't you just might miss the wisdom of the ages.

WHY? BECAUSE IT FEELS GOOD!

I listened to a TED talk this morning, called "How to Turn on Good." How do we know this works? Because when we do them giving increases! People and organizations who are good at raising money and/or have people donate time and energy to their cause, know this and use it effectively.

… and now The rest of the story

The rest of the story begins in Mid-May of 1971 on a camping trip to the northern neck of Virginia. It was a weekend outing sponsored by Montgomery County Single Parents. We arrived on a beautiful late spring evening. Set up our tent and our children ran around meeting and playing with the other children. I suspect we were all really here so our kids could see they weren't the only ones who were missing a parent at home.
