You'd think with theAmerican preoccupation with pointing a finger at another, eventually the finger would get tired. 👎 Wouldn't it be refreshing to have a political candidate tell us what they have of value to bring to the office they seek and how they will be making our lives better, without telling us how the other candidate is lacking? 👍

The First Hibiscus of Fall

The thought crossed my mind that it was the last bloom of the Summer. A few moments later, it occurred to me that the bloom was really the first bloom of theFall. 💭 The creator was reminding me that when I see the bloom as the last of Summer, I’m dwelling on the past. When I see it as the first bloom of Fall, I am reminded to enjoy the present day and look forward to all the opportunities to come in the days ahead.

Appreciation

Appreciation means, "the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something... Gratitude for something... A full understanding of a situation. But it also means one(actually two) more things that make it special. When we "appreciate"something we recognize it's full worth. And when an asset (such as collectible art, stocks or real estate investments) rises in value or price, we say it "appreciates."

We get what we expect, don't we?

All exchanges with others produce the results we expect. WHY? Because that’s what we are looking for! When we encounter someone, they sense what we are thinking about in the situation and others deliver the results we expect. People seem to like to give us what we think we deserve. Examples: We are driving and suddenly a police officer stops us. What we choose to think about this produces our result.

NOT EVERYBODY LOOKS FORWARD TO THANKSGIVING!

Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday here in the U.S. Americans seem to yearn to spend the holiday with family. They put up with traffic jams and trips taking much longer than anticipated seeking a return to the home fires. Once they arrive at their destinations, the rigors of the trip are quickly forgotten. They are home again. The warm and fuzzy feelings embrace us as we remember what it was like growing up.

The Long Ranger Radio Show.

Went to my back doctor today. He is just 4 months younger than I and we relive the days of our youth. Today we talked about tuning into the Long Ranger Radio Show. He said we watched the radio, not just listened. He's right! We saw the show and it played very vividly in our minds. Each of us saw our own unique pictures.
