We get what we expect, don't we?

All exchanges with others produce the results we expect.

WHY?
Because that’s what we are looking for!

When we encounter someone, they sense what we are thinking about in the situation and others deliver the results we expect. People seem to like to give us what we think we deserve.

Examples:
We are driving and suddenly a police officer stops us. What we choose to think about this produces our result.

Years ago, I was stopped by policemen on 3 different occasions in a month. I had no idea why?  The first time was because my tags had expired 2 months ago.  It was a complete surprise to me! I received a warning.

The next time it was because I was speeding. Another warning.

The third time was for I can’t remember what. Another warning.

Why not tickets for these? Because I was respectful and knew I would be treated with respect too!

During this time frame, my wife was stopped for going 40 in a 25 zone. Result a speeding ticket.

2 days later, another stop for the same thing on the same street. Another ticket.

Why. She was later for teaching school. She must have been thing oh great now I’ll be even later. She wasn’t happy. The officer sensed her negative attitude.

She fondly referred to this street as Ticket Terrace. Plus, she didn’t understand why I didn’t get tickets and she did.

Example: you are selling a product or service. Your potential customer is taking their time decided yes or no. You are thinking all this time and they’ll probably not buy anyway. They prove you right.

What if you ask the potential customer about their problem? Asked them if they want a solution? Tell them how your solution works and ask if they want to see if it will work for them. Chances are they’ll try it!

Example: you wake up in the morning thinking “I don’t want to go to work. I have so much to do. How will I ever get it all done?’ You have a horrible day. You are given even more to do. You don’t even get done what you originally had to do. Your thinking created just how your day went.

What if, you wake up looking forward to the challenges of the day! See yourself doing what you need to do and finishing everything! Chances are your day will be a glorious one! Life is good!

People, for whom, everything seems to go right, are those who seem to own their day! They know how their day goes depends upon how they think! They always see that in whatever happens during their day, depends on what choice they make on what happens. They see themselves in charge of their lives.

Each of us can choose to own our day and thereby own our lives!

So go own your day and your life!
