The First Hibiscus of Fall

The First Hibiscus of Fall

I walked out on my front porch on a Fall morning and looked over and saw a single hibiscus bloom on the bush.

The thought crossed my mind that it was the last bloom of the Summer. A few moments later, it occurred to me that the bloom was really the first bloom of theFall.  💭

The creator was reminding me that when I see the bloom as the last of Summer, I’m dwelling on the past.

When I see it as the first bloom of Fall, I am reminded to enjoy the present day and look forward to all the opportunities to come in the days ahead.

So many times we let our present and future be determined by the past.

And all it really takes is a slight shift in thinking and we open ourselves to the gifts we have and the opportunities to use those gifts to become even more than we are today.
