When I first believed!
When I first BELIEVED!
If you're familiar with the HymnAmazing Grace, this may have been your first thought when reading the first line. Or maybe you thought of Paul on the road to Damascus. Although those thoughts fit that's not what I had in mind.
All of us have had those times when we first believed. Like the time I received a legal notice that my daughter requested to go live with her mother. Everyone told me that the courts would grant her request. My second wife, my minister and my lawyer I knew different. It just came to me. That wasn't going to happen.
That's when I first believed. I knew deep down inside that wasn't best for my daughter. I wasn't going to allow it to happen. It was as if I was exerting my will for her to stay with me. Long story short, the courts awarded her to continue with me. She has thanked me so many times since.
How does it happen? Not sure I know? What I do know is, everything and everyone that I am, was focusing all of my energy and will, drawing all the necessary forces to bring the result that I saw! And so it was! When the result actually happened, it was almost anti-climatical, since it was real to me all along!
So you say, I've had those moments happen and I first believed, and it didn't turn out as I first believed. What happened? I believe in those instances, (andI have some of those too), we lost sight of the result. We couldn't see it anymore. And the universe, lost interest in what we wanted, and directed her energies elsewhere.
