The Winner's Circle - First Step

The Winner's Circle - First Step

I define a winner as one who gets and/or does what they truly want. So one needs to first find out and decide what we want. If we don’t know where we are going any road will get us there. And when we get there, it might not be where we really want to be.

Many people might think and say “Oh I know what I want. It’s this and this and this.” I would ask if they have it. If not, what are they doing to get it. Is what they are doing each day getting them closer to having it. If no, why are they still doing it, instead of doing something different that might get them what they want. If they say that they don’t know what to do, I would suggest what they say they want isn’t really what they want. When a person really wants something, they will do anything to get it. If what they are doing isn’t working they will try something and keep trying different things until they find the way that works.

Each of us can remember a time when we wanted something so bad, we did whatever we had to and didn’t stop until we got it.

So if we don’t have what we want, aren’t doing things to get us closer to it each day and trying different things if what we are doing isn’t getting us closer to it, then it’s not what we truly want.  “It’s not our heart’s desire” as Jack Zufelt would say.

So do you know your heart’s desire- that you would do whatever it takes to get it and never give up until you got it? Would you like to discover it?

Tomorrow, a way to discover it.
